Iconic Australian automotive cooling manufacturer, Davies, Craig Pty Ltd announced today it will display an Ultima GTR Supercar for the first time at this year’s Muscle Car Masters to be conducted at Eastern Creek, Sunday 4th September.
The Ultima GTR has been billed as the quickest accelerating and decelerating supercar of all time and it won’t look out of place amongst some of Australia’s most prestigious muscle cars.
This excitement machine has been carefully build by Ulladulla car enthusiast Alan May. Alan has been very meticulous in his workmanship on fit, finish, equipment and performance of this very attractive supercar. The culmination of Alan’s work will be on show at the Davies, Craig merchandising display in the area behind the main straight grandstand.
Alan is the typical Ultima owner, having an involvement in the car's construction and thus knowledge of every nut, bolt and component on the car makes his journey with his Ultima supercar not merely an experience but an event. Alan has chosen to fit a Davies, Craig Electric Water Pump and Digital Controller along with two 10” Davies, Craig Thermatic Fans to enhance the engine’s cooling characteristics . In short, the Ultima GTR for this car enthusiast is Alan’s ‘weapon of choice’ for wanting to own one of the quickest cars on the planet!
The GTR was independently timed around the Top Gear test track and was found to be a blistering 6.2 seconds per lap faster than the Ferrari Enzo, staggering onlookers! The sheer road presence that an Ultima commands has to be seen to be believed. The production car feel of the Ultima is immediately apparent, from the specially moulded headlight housings and covers to the immaculate panel fit and lack of any external body catches. Huge wheels front and back fill the wheel arches declaring its performance potential while items such as the purpose-made electric wing mirrors combine to create the complete picture. The sensational appearance of the car has been applauded by designers and connoisseurs alike.
The GTR can be ordered as a turnkey supercar and is also available in component form for assembly by the home enthusiast, which is how the majority of Ultima customers prefer to purchase their GTR. The end result is a supercar that's a real eye-catching head-turner.
